Re: header question

The 96/97 cars are "dual cat" and have the drivers side cat up against the stock exhaust manifold. A true "dual cat" (96/97 sepcific) header will have the same configuration, making it a completely different shape than a single cat header. That also changes the Y-pipe shape.

The 96/97's have the same EGR connection as all the other years (except 93). The AIR connections are similar, but a smaller diameter, requiring a different fitting than the 93-95 headers.

If you put 94/95 headers on a dual cat 96/97, you need to use the Y-pipe that comes with the 94/95 headers, and possibly an "S" pipe to get the Y-pipe to connect to the stock catback.

Re: header question

the y-pipe is "off road" so there would be no issue with the cats. so....an air fitting and an s-pipe and they would work?

Re: header question

You would need an adapter for each of the AIR fittings, and the S-pipe.
