I just put some long tube headers and all kind of other stuff in my car i didn't buy the y-pipe because i wanted cats so the muffler shop said they would put my hi-flow cats I bought and make the custom y-pipe for $80 bucks. will it damage the car any if i drove to the shop with the headers open (about 2 miles)? I have 4 o2 sensors and it's a 1997 ws6.

 

It might damage your ears, but not the car. It will revert to power enrichment mode if it doesn,t get signal from the front o2 sensors. You'll get a code regarding all 4 o2 sensors which should clear once they're reconnected.

 

Ok i just wanted to know so that i wouldn't have to get it towed there since i still need to break in the new cam. I didn't want be on the street revving it for 20 min. I can do that at home and annoy all the neighbors.
