header install problems

Has anyone had problems with the flange holes not lining up with the bolts in the head? (my mac's are used). I tried to enlongate the flange bolts to give me some play, but I think im at the limit in terms of how far I can go and still have the bolts go in straight. Any suggestions?

also, did 94 z28's come with a header stud at the very back of the passenger side manifold? I pulled my manifolds for my mac header install a wk ago, and I cant remember if I snapped the head and left the bolt sticking in the head, or if there was a stud in there all alone. In the parts that were on the floor was a nut that fits the threads of the bolt sticking that is in the head.

Re: header install problems

I installed used macs and everything seemed to line up fine. On my heads there were no studs. I just used bolts for all the holes in the flanges.
