My coating came off and they started to rust. Jet-Hot re-coated them for free. It took nearly 2 weeks so plan on that. I think the coating came off because my LE2 setup was not installed correctly the first time and my engine ran horribly rich.
i have pacesetters and the coating is actually still nearly perfect after a year and a half. the only rust spot i have is due to the A/C dripping off onto the header I still need to fix this.

For the drivers side, you have to get the front end WAY UP in the air. I used a set of SUV jackstands from Sears. It took a floor jack like the one in your pic and a good size chunk of wood to jack it up high enough. The jackstands were set at their highest point. For safety, I left the jack and block of wood in place under the car.

I jacked up the motor today and STILL NO LUCK! I also tried to unbolt the engine mount but that bolt is ****ing stuck! I used pb and it still won't come off......It looks like the drivers side header wont go in from the bottom at all!!! It hits the k-member and the oil filter housing.I got the header 3/4 of the way in from the top but it still hits the head a bit.And I also jacked up the car even more.So right now im pretty mad about this, when I had to remove my left header on my LS1 it took me about 20 minutes to take it off and another 20 to put it back on.

are you sure there is no weight (or lift) on the bolt? you have to jack the engine JUST the right ammount and it should slide right out. you might need to coax it with a hammer but i had mine apart and back together in like 20 minutes.

I promise you if those Pacesetters of yours would have been on my car, the coating would have come off. My car ran so rich it was unreal. I could have set the exhaust on fire!

doesnt really matter. you need to put a wrench on it from both sides. and i suggest switching the bolt around the opposite direction when you put it back in. youre going to find that its MUCH easier to work with that way.

I jackep up the motor and removed the bolt off the motor mount and still no ****ing luck! I didn't even try it from the bottom because I jacked up the car from the oil pan and the jack was in the way.they were almost all the way in but somehow there is always a place they get stuck on.

RIGHT NOW I FEEL LIKE TAKING A HAMMER AND SMASHING THESE HEADERS!

I jacked my engine up from the edge of the bellhousing. it doesnt provide the most leverage, but it works, and its stronger than the oil pan thats for sure. I would have never even tried jacking there. You should be able to tip the motor far enough that it damn near hits the other side of the engine bay. If you cant get it in then you better check to make sure those headers arent for a big block chevy or something you should have ALL KINDS of room. As for the jack being in the way, you MAY need to put the header partially in, lower it a tad (be careful!) and then slide it in the rest of the way. Although im pretty sure this isnt necessary it might be worth a shot.

Sorry youre having all this trouble. As they say every cars different. Mine definitely cooperated better.

Thumbs up

It may be a optical illusion,. but it looks like the motor may still need to be jacked up a little more. Looks like the mounts are still together/touching.

No go from the bottom?

As I posted earlier, I had to jack up the motor a bunch AND lower the k-member to fit in my JetHot headers. They both went in from the bottom. You need to make sure the jack is not in your way underneath the car. I believe I lifted the motor by putting the jack ubder the harmonic balancer (with a piece of wood in between). If you need to also lower the k-member, I believe I removed the nuts that mount the upper portion of the struts to the wheel well , removed the 3 bolts on the driver's side that mount the k-member to the body and LOOSENED, but not removed the other 3 bolts on the passenger side. As I said before, they WILL go.

none of your pics really show the angle of the motor, but i agree with harvey... it doesnt look like you have it jacked up very much. Like i said before i had mine tipped to the point the other header was hitting the opposite side of the engine bay. I had all kinds of room. But then again i see you have 1 7/8" hooker headers. those are notoriously the most difficult to install

edit: I can see the bolt hole for the engine mount so you definitely have it undone. I cant rememeber for sure but i think i had mine tipped more than that.
