header help

what are the advanges of running long tubes vs short tube headers. id like to compare them price wise and ease of install

Ease of install and pricewise they are probably pretty close to each other. The main issue is if you have emissions to deal with. If so, then shorties or mid-lengths would be more suitable. If not, then long tubes are definitely a good way to go as they should add some additional power over shorties and provide better plug access.

long tubes give significantly more power gains than shorties. this becomes even more evident as hp levels get higher.

shorties are only good for about 5-10hp depending on whether you replace the ypipe or not. LTs are good for a solid 15-20hp.

Not legal because they move the cat(s) from the stock location.
