Arrow Header gaskets.. Percy's or Earl's?

Which ones are better? If Percy's, I need the square port ones, right?
Thanks!

I used Percys "dead soft" gaskets once and they worked great. I beleive they are still D port, but a little costly. They flatten 3 or 4 thin sheets of aluminum to form very well.

I knew about the D-port, but summit doesn't have those (they do have Earl's D-port however) so I figured the closest to D would be the square ones they carry but I guess not.
Thanks Brad.

i have percy's and i believe you need D-ports if i remember right. Make sure you have 1 inch bolts though, because the gaskets are super thick. I only had 3/4" bolts and i could barely get them started and i had to jump around tightening them up so i wouldn't strip them out.

As far as Percy's ''Dead Soft'' Header Gaskets, do we get round or square?

Thanks!

I've got a set of Earls aluminum ones with the inserts that are about $5 from summit.

I have yet to install them but....

I am VERY impressed with them from just inspecting them. From an engineer's standpoint that's how header gaskets should be made. Not to mention if you've ever heard of Parker-Hannifin they made these gaskets for Earls... and they ARE the seal company...

They'll get tried out next spring... car's going in storage in 3 days.. and the heads are getting a P&P job this winter...

Get the Percy's (square) and 3/4 in. Stage 8s. You won't be dissappointed.

I'm ran Earl's Pressure Masters with my supercharger and will run them again w/ the turbo. Best header gaskets I ever bought...not one leak.

Best thing is all I had to do to switch from the LT1 d-ports to my current square ports is switch inserts. Nice and easy.

I was gonna use some Felpro gaskets when i do my header install. Is there a reason the percy's or earl's are better?

The Felpros will eventually succumb to the heat. You can't beat Percy's or Earl's gaskets. Aluminum is the way to go.
