i have a question. if my header flange is slightly warped, will the aluminum one bend to the shape and make a leakless seal? i'm not sure if they're actually warped or not, i'm asking b/c i had paper gaskets on my headers and they were fine until they blew, then i bought mr. gaskets copper seal gaskets. but the copper ones leak. if i got percy's or earl's aluminum gaskets would it be leakless? thanks in advance.

If they are warped you would need a compessible gasket to seal, not a metal one. But you would be better off removing them and checking to see if the are actually warped, and if they are, getting the flange resurfaced.

how can i tell if it's warped? would i be able to just look at it and tell. b/c if that's the case it doesn't look like it's bent or wapred or anything. maybe the copper gasket just isn't thick enough, right now i'm using 1 inch bolts on the header with a locking washer on each one. if the aluminum gasket is thicker then i shouldn't have a leaking problem. but i'm not too sure.

I'm a little confused. So with the Percy's do you get D-ports or the square ports on the stock heads? Then if you get them ported which do you use?

If you have them off the car, lay the flange on a piece of glass. If any part of the flange is not touching the glass they are not flat. You can check it with a feeler guage.
