I have ASM headers, when i put them on, i used the gaskets that came with the headers. big mistake, i have some exhaust leaks. anyhow, what header gaskets do you all suggest? also, should i use locktite on the bolts when i put them back on?

I used fel-pro gaskets and havent had one problem with them

I probably wouldnt use locktite , i didnt use it and I was ok

 

No need for lock-tite. You will have to retighten them once maybe twice after a heat cycle or two and you'll be good to go from there.

You can get the 1406's from Autozone, Advance, etc. Don't bother with mail ordering them.

I got tired of messing around with fiber type gaskets. I use solid copper header gaskets that I got from summit racing for 25 bucks, THey sealed great, header bolts aren't backing off either
