header gasket ?

What is the best sealing header gasket for the LT1's? Right now i have some copper ones and i'm pretty sure they're leaking. I'm thinking of getting some felpro's but i thought i'd see what ya'll think first.

Re: header gasket ?

I used Fel-Pro's upon reccomendation from other board members. I've heard good and bad about the copper ones that come with the header kits, but have not heard one negative about the Fel-Pro's.

There are some other good ones out there as well, it's likely that you just get what you pay for.

Re: header gasket ?

I have tried aluminum, copper and felpros. Felpro 1406 was the one that worked best for me. Ihave them on for about two years now with Hooker LT headers. No leaks till now.
