header dilemma??

I know many of you have been asked this question alot but I am very confused on header selection. I have a stock 1997 z28 LT-1 and I would like to know which headers to install. I have gotten numerous opinions: (1) doesn't matter which brand as long as 3" minimum diameter and thick flange. (2) Only Kooks or Pacesetter (3) only ss or ceramic. I do not plan to super/turbo charge at this time. Please help, any info would be appreciated!

If cost isnt an issue go with 3" out Kooks with the y-pipe. Kooks are ss by the way.

I got pacesetters on my 95z28. I went with the mid length headers from them. They are solid headers but the gaskets were ****, i put a completely different set of gaskets on my car.

Thanks again for all replies. I think i will go with the long ss headers and use the aluminum gaskets. I saw a manufacturer that guarantees their aluminum gaskets not to blow. course, you know what they say about guarantees.....
Now all I have to do is get them and then muster up the courage to put them on!!

You need to keep this all in one thread, not start multiple threads on the same subject.
