v6 to lt1 swap help

Hey I have a 95 v6 5 speed and I want to swap it to a lt1. This will be the first swap I have ever done. How hard will it be and what will I need to change? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Take this from experience. IF you are really serious about doing this you best bet is to find a complete donor car of THE SAME YEAR as yours. i went from a 94 v6 auto to 97 v8 6 speed and had to change everything including every single wiring harness in the car and the dash. if you dont get a donor you will need engine, trans, v8 engine harness,k member, suspension, guage cluster, radiator, fans, fuel pump, exhaust, and i believe the front body harness. do a search its been done a bunch of times

The V6 -> LT1 swap is covered frequently on the "V6 Tech" forum. You will find more information on that forum, including a "sticky" on engine swaps at the top of the forum topic listing.

Appears you may be trying to reuse the T5 trans.... serious mistake. It isn't capable of handling the LT1's torque.
