Head gasket selection, list em all

Just for reference for myself and others. Everyone list every head gasket you know of and compressed thickness for LT1s. Didnt feel like doing research, sorry.

Hey jonaddis84,

Could you do me a favor? Sorry to intrude on your post, but i bought the tranny off you buddy (shadelt1) and he was suppose to send me the tranny pan and the receipts, but i havent heard from him yet. Next time you talk to him, could u just mention it?

i had a very similar post not too long ago and the general consesus was to use the impy gasket. no prblem with dissimilar metals.

Cometic. Standard is 0.040" but they can make them in custom thicknesses from what I understand.

Im not wanting advice on what gasket to use. I want to know every available LT1 gasket and their compresses thickness, thanks though.

All these are 4.125 bore probly right?

Cometic will make them in any thickness. I had to order a set of .057" gaskets for a 386 SBC I'm building, because I had .022" positive deck clearance...400 block, 3.56" stroke crank, 6.125" rods, and JE pistons.
Cometic gaskets are unique in several ways. First off, they're reusable, second they're a "layered" gasket. The 3 pieces are riveted together...The rivets hang out the bottom, and intrude into the lifter valley.
The custom gaskets are a little pricey...$140-$170 a set

BTW, I used good ole Fel-Pro .039" gaskets on my '93 LT1
