Having trouble with the crankshaft hub!!!

I have a 94 z28 and no one can seem to find me the right crank shaft hub for my engine. The one the dealership keeps getting me seems to be too long and it wont fit into the harmonic ballancer, and it looks nothing like the one that came off the car, and nothing like the pics of some that I have seen on here!! If anyone has any help for me it would be appriciated thanks

Here is the part number for the 93-95 crank hub: 12553250

I have no idea what you mean about it not fitting into the balancer, I am going to assume you have the stock balancer/pulley ...

Not to pry, but what is wrong with the stock hub?

the stock hub got reemed out and don't stay on the crank shaft, and it also looks as if someone beat it on with a hammer. there is also hanner marks on the balancer too. I have that part # and I have ordered it twice from the dealer. but it dont work it wont go inside the balancer to bolt on! I had someone tell me that they may have changed the manufactuer. I have also been looking for the engine # but I cant seem to locate it, and I have looked everywhere that the chiltons says to look for it!!!

What do you mean it won't go inside the balancer? The hub goes over the crank snout then the balancer/dampner bolts to the hub on the front side.

If you do want a good quality piece ASP sells both a dampner and a billet hub. I bought both of them and they look great and seem to be a quality piece.

Almost sounds as if they are ordering the wrong year- wasn't there a change in the hubs between 94 and 95/96? As far as the balancer not going on check both the inner and the outer with a mic and see how close they are. If they are really close maybe all the balancer needs is some polishing on the inside to fit over the hub.
