Having a few problems, could use some advice.

Well, have been noticing a miss that starts about 5800 and goes to the shift at 6500. Its like it is studdering, kinda sounds like it is hitting a rev limiter but its not. I just replaced plugs (NGK TR6, .040 gap) and coil (MSD blaster) and it ran fine for about 3-4 runs now it still cuts out about every other run. I did notice that the lights are flickering, so I am thinking that the alternator is going and I will be changing that tomorrow. I datalogged it tonight and the volts were ranging from 10.3-12.7, mostly between 11 and low 12's, would this be causing the cutting out? I also had a trouble code, 36 HI res failure. I erased it and it didnt come back. I also noticed that the spark advance was going all the way to 42 degrees and this seemed abit high to me, what is everyone else running?
