Talking Have a lifter question please!

Hey everyone, i am in the process of rebuilding my 92 lt1/lt4 motor. I have had the heads done and upgraded springs, new lt4 hot cam, forged crank and i am swapping the timing gear over to 95 and up so i can go back to a vented opti. My question is,...If i am rebuilding the motor, is it necessary to also replace my lifters and push rods or is it ok to use the old ones or is it advised to purchase new ones? The motor is going into my 95 TA if that makes any difference and the lt4 motor is out of a low mileage Corvette.

Since you're there...might as well put new ones in. In my opinion, it wouldn't hurt to use the old...but for the cost, might as well put new...

If the original lifters look good (check the rollers very carefully) you can re-use them. PR...best to confirm PR length since your motor has been rebuilt and heads done since that typically involves decking both.

You "may" need a slightly shorter PR. IMHO get .080 thick wall Chromalloy PR
