grygst76: Not ment to offend, but 267rwhp is really low for your mods. You should be much closer to the 300rwhp mark, is your car running right or does it have a lot of hard miles on it? I mean something is up, cause there are some stock LT1's that dyno around 267rwhp.

From all the numbers I have seen in the past, if your car is in good tune and you add catback/cutout and ram-air/CAI you should be around 275rwhp. As mentioned before, this number does very some, but when it comes to guessing this seams pretty good. So, with shorty headers and ORP, maybe 285-290rwhp is my guess.

This thread has quickly turned into a bunch of typing diarrhea, so I'm gonna attempt to sum this up before it gets locked.

When bench racing to establish ur horsepower estimation. PLEASE DO NOT DO RICER MATH.

The equation is not: 275 HP stock + 12 HP CAI and MAF PP + 20 HSP from headers and off-road pipe + 6 from T/B Bypass = 313 Hp!

It doesn't quite work that way. When companies advertise horsepower, they often mean that particular mod produces said horsepower with a conjunction of mods. Too bad they don't mention that on the box.

The only real way to establish a horsepower rating is dyno time, or run the 1/4 mile and find ur cars weight, then u can calculate horsepower. Until then ur gonna have no real idea. Also, don't get cranky when u don't like the opinions u hear, because u did ask for them.

Like I said I have a lot of hard miles on her and when I dyno'd my opticrap died a couple days later frozen solid!! After I changed it out I honestly felt the butt dyno told me it was more responsive and I now go sideways in second which I could not do before....My air/fuel was 11.0 rich rich rich from no burn piece of crap opti.. You are indeed right I should be 280-290 but Nowhere near 300...Also the dyno was done before the full CAI swap. I'm not making excuses believe me if my car is a biautch that's what she is.. If you look at the torque you can see there was a problem...it is too high for that little horsepower

Thanks brotha!!!

I got a set of heads fully ported and polished, got a ****cam on the way and I am hoping for 400 horses....BUT I am doing away with all emissions related garbage and a few other sneaky things I care not mention (not NAAWS either) I will run a dose of juice but only when I start to get my fanny handed to me!!

Wow, that dude that originally posted in this thread hasn'y been back since the first page. I wonder if his rotator splint seized and caused a surge in his electric cam shaft motor which has prevented his response now sice he is stuck at Circle K.

hehe, I got a good 5 posts from this thread!

Do you like to just hear yourself talk or something I didnt post because i was actually at somewhere called uh...COLLEGE because i DO have a life. I dont know where you get this 5 good posts from, because you just look like a jacka$$. I in no way stated that i was making some INSANE HP from my mods and that the p/p maf was a huge hp mod. I think in reality, i AM making near 300rwhp with my mods, but i guess it doesnt really matter to assume. I will find out though on monday.

you should get it dynoed again. Sounds like it's running stronger this time. Especially an M6... you should be at 300RWHP or around or at least at 285 imo. 267 on a ****ty opti crap isn't bad though.

Yeah but it is fun to guess to see how close you are. I guess pretty close to mine. I guess around 272 or so. I was happy with what i got. If you are running with your stock catback i would say you are really restricting your performance. If you throw a cutout on it i would say you could probably hit 300. But untill that i would say you are around 280-290.

I might get a cutout to complete my current setup. Then onto bigger and better stuff

Thats cool, compare an lt1 to a 4.6l mustang . Try to use commas or periods("me a jackass damn" that part) so that you dont look like a dumba$$ along w/ a jacka$$
