Ive read in here somewhere something about a rear hatch pulldown. I have a '94 and was wondering if ALL z's had this feature.....and that mine is obviously broken, or is it optional equipment...meaning mine possibly doesnt have one ?

I didnt see it on my 94, but my 86 had it. Maybe its just a thirdgen thing.

 

yes indeed a 3rd gen thing
i believe it started in 85 and went to 92 models. A really cool feature dirived from cadillacs. I always liked that on 3rd gens and felt it was one of those cool little camaro firebird feaatures. There was a guy that put one on a 4th gen. However the reality is their nice only untill they fail and a new one is a few hundred bucks for the motor. Even the rebuild kit s price is a crime. And at every salvage yard i've been at thats one of the many parts stripped out of every f-body in the yard.
