This is crazy. I was looking around for header gaskets and some other misc. parts and stumbled upon this. I knew SLP had the two filter system, but this one I can't find the words to describe it...I know it's actually for the LT1/LT4 corvette, but I think it could work on a maf-less 1993 f-body maybe?

Has anyone ever seen this before?

ive seen it on corvettes,

theres an old thread around here about doing an ls1 airbox conversion on an lt1. it looks pretty mint and id like to do it eventually, im guessing using this intake would be similar.

This seems like it would work really good, since the filters would sit right behind the radiator. *shrug* I'm just tired of my K&N and not being able to get to my filter very easily hehe... I'd like something similar to what dwayne has...and I'm not too big on the airbox type setup, flat filters are a restriction imo.

judging from the pictures...it looks like it would have to be in speed density mode...because if not...where does the maf go? or am i missing something?

I saw those on a 1990 ZR1 Corvette today, fit pretty good. However, a ZR1 has a HUGE throttlebody and no MAF.

Yeah, my first though was where does the maf go... I'd really like a setup like 96capricemgr has, Personally, his setup would probably run all these other cai's into the ground. I thought the world of the K&N FIPK, but now it's just a thorn in my side. I'd like to be able to un clamp the filter(s) in mere seconds.

I just thought this was interesting, I've seen some LT1/LT5 vette cai's before, but nothing quite like this. I know it wouldn't work, but just trying to spark some ideas. Anyone know of any other custom cai's or other ways of doing something like this with only two filters, three is kinda overkill imo.

Someone please buy that!

MAF should work because it says it work up to a 1996 Corvette and I think the 1996 Vette has MAF. It should still work.

should and will are 2 totally different things...if you look at it there is no place for the MAF it goes from the throttlebody to the filters no MAF place in the middle. not trying to be a jerk or anything...but where does the maf go if it will? they have their **** messed up is all i can come up with.

no it won't work.. i have an lt4 vette and an lt1 t/a.. the opening for where the filter opens for the bellow is really big and the vette bellows are too long to fit it between the tb and the radiator of a 4th gen..

Would that fit onto the throttle body though? Or the Elbow?

I'm kind of confused.

why would you want to put an air intake directly behind the radiator? that is designed to sit in front of the radiator. guaranteed it would look retarded.
