Cam only car which cam

Iv been looking around and see mostly cc305 306 and 503 (which seems to be the favorite one)
Which one do you folks recommend for cam only car for now, after market heads down the road. 383 stroker, around 300 shot nitrous used on occasion.
Sorry about ANOTHER cam thread.

You'll definitely get varied responses, I like the idea of the CC503 as well.

cc503 is looking really nice about now, any power estimates? 12:1 compression basicly stock motor 383. Also just to keep the topic open, I will also listen to other recommendations.

You have a 12:1 383 NOW this cam will be going in? And you plan to keep the same cam when you put the ported heads on the car? If so I'd go bigger than the 503.
DD, Track only, weekend car?

Daily driver, however I honestly dont care about manners as long as it can stop. The motor is currently blown up, but the build plan is 12:1 (due to piston choice and depending on what gasket but right around 12:1) I want to put in a new cam after the heads are ported.

Anyone have part numbers or something for the 503?

503 or 227

is what my research pointed to.

Edit: That was for an actual cam only. I see you're actually going to work it later. For that I don't know.

Why not go custom, get a cam for the heads you want. And then it will be the perfect match for the heads, and will be okay on a stock headed car.

Just incase plans change I guess. However I am looking at a set of dart heads possibly. Ill see what engine builder says.

I love my AI cam, makes great power too and once my software gets here, hopefully it'll make more. I dont think 370 is out of the question

possibly save till you can get both the heads/cam matched to each other. AI does good work but there a little pricey for me, loyd elliot has lower prices
