GM sells the 1.6 LT4 rockers in a kit for LT1's. Yes, you can use them. If they're off a factory LT4, your adjustment nuts will be different. LT4's used metric nuts...LT1's used standard nuts. If you buy the kit from GM, they already have the standard nuts.
BTW, from what I've seen, they make a big difference in power.

I have heard of some people having to modify their valve covers to get the rockers to fit but mine slide right in no probs.

Just make sure that they are the "aftermarket" GM ones with the 3/8" stud and not the acctual LT4 RR's with the 10mm stud.

If the car has over 50k miles it would be a good time to replace the valve springs and pushrods also.

Lightbulb Thats The Thing!

These are the Original LT4 Rockers with the 10MM locking nuts. I am thinking that I will have to Buy some aftermarket Locking Nuts to use these on the car with these rockers! What do you think? Thx, Lata, Ark

The 'original' LT4 rockers didn't use locknuts [they were tightened/torqued down..]
I'd say what you need are true LT4 10mm studs.. [Not LT1 studs..]

Not pressed in.. they are threaded, and are the same threads[in the HEAD end] as the ones you have now...not that hard to change in the car[easier than springs!]
You are removing rockers anyway to change them.. just unbolt the old studs, and bolt the new ones in..

just get the 3/8" locking stud set from crane cams (its the same part that GM gives you with the kit) and you should be fine.

Make sure you get some stronger valvesprings too, the 1.6s will increase your lift.

Also be sure to put an lt4 knock module in there - the lt1 knock module will pick up the extra valvetrain noise as knock, and retard your timing.

other than that, I can't really see what else you'd need. You might need tuning to get the full benefits, but even without it, you should see a good gain.

Enjoy the RRs.. I'm enjoying the hell out of mine.
