Harmonic Balancer Question

I need to choose a harmonic balancer for my LT1, Should I get the LT4 or is there a fluidampr with the serpentine pulley for our cars??

this probably sounds stupid but what is a harmonic balancer and what does it do sorry if im hijacking your thread its just a quick question

The balancer absorbs vibration from your motor

Not much improvement, BUT I feel my stock one is messed up so Mid as well get the best for the replacement and fluidampr is supposed to make the best so that's what I'm gonna get
