Well I am having a fine vibration for the past couple of years on my Z and am just now trying to figure out and locate a fix. I have my trans out and sent my Converter out to get looked at. I visually inspected the flexplate and see no cracks or anything out of the ordinary. The vibration is felt at 2200 - 2800 rpms in any gear and in park which cancels out any drivetrain causes. The vibration is consistant and rythmatic. I can see the rubber in the harmonic balancer starting to dry-rott but not sure if it is significant enough to be the cause. I was going to swap all this out but the Harmonic is pretty expensive. Is there anything I can do to thoroughly inspect the Flexplate and harmonic balancer to determine if either of these is a possible cause? Also where is the best place to get a new harmonic balancer. I know these topics have come up and I did a search but none seem to have the awnser I am looking for.

Well I am going to throw a flexplate on it while I have the trans out... Even if it doesn't help at least I will know..
