I am rebuilding an LT4 engine. The LT4 harmaonic balncer does not have a key way slot. There is a small white triangle on the front of the harmonic balancer. Does it matter how the balancer is aligned? If it does matter, how do you properly align it? Thanks in advance.

 

Doesn't matter because, as on the LT1, its not a "balancer"..... it's a harmonic damper.

 

If you want to put it back like it came from the factory, the arrow goes at 12 o'clock when 1 and 6 pistons are at the top of their travel.
