Hardware question for headers....
I am going to be replacing the motor mounts in the car and am going to replace the header bolts with some that are nice and clean looking. I have these in mind
Stainless Steel Hex bolts
this
Stainless Steel 12pt. header bolts
this
Stainless Steel header bolts. (Split-lock bolts)
I was thinking about going with the first ones and being done with it.
Has anyone tried using header studs? How well do those work?

Re: Hardware question for headers....
I had good luck with the stage-8 brand bolts on my hooker shorties. They're 1 & 5/8" primaries, and the lockplate flat side had to be ground down on several of them (100% easy), but once on, they're on. I prefer that over the split-locks. On a bolt that may see removal difficulties (siezing etc.,) the solid bolt is stronger than the splitlock bolt and therefore should be easier to remove in the future.
