Hard to start when cold

I have a 94 lt1 that is hard to start when cold I have to open the trottle about half way then it will start. After it starts you can cut it off and it will restart with no problem. If it sets for about 15 min it has the same problem.

Thanks

Do a search. This topic has been done to death. Oh yeah, check your oil for fuel smell.

Re: Hard to start when cold

Could be several things....

-faulty coolant temp sensor
-leaking injectors flooding the cylinders
-fuel pressure bleeding off on shutdown

Might want to start by testing the fuel pressure, and watching how fast it leaks down on shutdown.

Depending on "how cold" it is, and if you have bypassed the T-body, that might be something to look at. It could be a ton of things though, and as stated before, this is not the first time this thread has been posted.
