hard start- running rich

okay, car's been slowly developing this problem over the past couple weeks.

Basically, in the morning or if the car sat for a bit it'll take 2 or 3 tries to get her to turnover, or ill have to give it gas while im turning it over to get her to start. if not she just cranks and cranks.

when she first fires up ill get a puff of black smoke and really smell a lot of fuel in the exhuast. then for the first 15-20 seconds of driving, she stutters really bad and feels like bad cam surge ,but once i get the RPM's up a bit she'll be fine.

at first it would only do it everynow and then, but now its every time and shes taking longer and longer to start-

so any guesses ? shes got new plugs, new wires, new opti, new coil, and went through and havent been able to find any vacumn leaks- any other ideas or suggestions on how i should go about trying ot diagnose it?

thanks

Re: hard start- running rich

Leaky injectors, start there.

Check the plugs, even if they're new. They should be tan, not white, or charred. White means not enough fuel, running lean. Black (charred) means your rich, too much fuel.

To check the injectors, unbolt the four bolts holding the fuel rails down. Lift them up and prime the car. Do not start the car, just prime it. Watch to see if any of the injectors drip. There should be no fuel coming out what so ever.
