Hard to start and hesitation

Okay here goes I have a 1993 trans am. Its a lt1 a4 My first problem. Car has a hard time starting after it sits for more than 30 min. I looked trought the search forums and found some things to test for I will do them tomarrow and get back to you with my results. Has anyone solved this problem if so tell me what you did to solve it. Second problem it hesitated a little of the line and in stop and go traffic only in first and second at low rpm's(under 2000). What might the cause be? This car is 100% stock and has only 97000 on it. Any and all help is very much appreciated
thanks Rusty

Re: Hard to start and hesitation

Ok here are my results
10 psi as it primes
0 after its done priming
So I guess my next step is find out where in loseing pressure.
Fuel pump or injectors right?

Sounds pretty brutal, it should be above 42 at priming (key on, engine off). It should stay there too. Engine idling it should be around 36 psi.
If your leaking through the fuel pressure regulator pull the vaccum line off the fuel pressure regulator to see if fuel is coming out. but i you got 10 PSI at prime thats waaay below spec. I'd put my money on your fuel pump...
