Happy Hooker question

Guys,
I just got a Happy Hooker and I need to know if you have to remove the fuel rails to bolt it on or not. Do you just reuse the fuel rail bolts with the rails still on or do you take them off and then bolt on the Happy Hooker. The bolts that came with it will not go through the holes in the rails.

Yes, you need to remove the fuel rails from the intake. And use the supplied bolts, they are grade 8 bolts. They factory bolts are not grade 8 and will probably not hold the weight if you try to use them.

I left my fuel rails on and used the fuel rail bolts to attach the hooker.

I always remove the fuel rails and use the bolts supplied with the hooker. I have used mine several times over the past 2 years. Still using the same bolts that came with it.

Its a lift plate made by TPIS specifically for LT1 F-bodies (drilled for the stock LT1 intake, as well as a couple 4 barrel patterns). Its a flat plate with a swiveling hook on it, designed to make it easier to pull the engine from the top. Works great!
