HAL/QA1 users!!!

I installed upper and lower A-arms from BMR along with the front hal shocks and spring set-up. My car sits EVEN lower than it did before with the pro-kit and take-off shocks. I adjusted the d-side shock with the spanner wrench and expanded the spring i.e., moved the spanner wrench in a clockwise motion, and the car sat even lower. So I turned it counter-clockwise to compress the spring and it looked like it "raised" the car. But when you press on the front end of the car, the shock travels downward but it doesn't return to its position. I tried this at a 1, a 6 and finally a 9 adjustment setting. I'm scraping on EVERYTHING!!!

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated, especially if someone can solve my problem before 6am!!

So NO ONE has encountered a problem like this with theirs shocks?? Could it be that they weren't filled?

I think very few people are doing anything with the shocks especially the adjustables. I try to get some info on my drag launch kit and KYB AGXs and I am beginning to think I am the guinea pig for this setup. I am going to have to figure it out myself.

I have the exact same setup...It really doesn't matter where you set your shocks they are not gas shocks so they aren't gonna rebound like a gas shock ....what you need to do is adjust the spring ....I believe mine are set about 10 inches from the bottom of the threads on the shock (almost all the way up) solved my problem....The springs are really soft so you are gonna have to adjust them way up to keep the car at the hieght you want it....I spent over a week trying to figure out the same thing....thats what it was ...the springs need to be really compressed to hold the weight of the car....So I'd say at least 10 inches from the bottom of the threads Good Luck

I have around 12 threads showing between the top of the shock and the top spring seat. When I push down on the fender, the shock will compress, but it will not return to its original position. There is no travel in the shock.

Well I raised the spring seat to where there was only 7 threads showing from the top and the car now works. I have about 3 inches between the wheel well and the tire. I have a Pro Gasser look, but I will lower the spring seat to give it a slight rake.
