Had My Knock Retard Programmed OUT
I have done exactly what LT4 Firehawk has done. Well said.
I definitely had too spend alot of time doing this. What I would recommend also is pulling your plugs out after making some wide open throttle runs and reading the plugs for detonation too.
It takes some time but in the end it will pay off.

from left to right, cylinder 7,5,3,1.....7 was wet as you can see (is that normal?), i dont remember that ever happening and ive changed the plugs about 5 times .........3 and 7 get some glow around the plug while running (they used to arc, but have changed wires, plugs, coil etc etc and now they just glow while firing, but not as bad as when it was arcing).
my idle is rough (stock cam almost feels lopey), but things seem fine from 3k up. aftermarket prothane motor mount
i have an lt4km......longtubes with 3" true duals and xpipe (loud!), no air/egr.

Plugs really don't look bad, but it's kinda hard to tell if it's detonating or not. They actually look like it might be a little on the lean side.
What you need to do is right after you've made some WOT runs is too pull the plugs right out and review. The way you can tell is if you see any black specles on the plugs then you know your still having detonation.

Now a question. How many have done this to your daily? I drive my car daily, in all sorts of weather, and I am getting what I believe to be a false knock, but I do have the LT4 KM, so I dunno. Any input from those that drive theirs daily?
