H2O Leak at Rr of engine
Help is needed guys... I have finished a search on intake leaks and such and only come up with oil related leaks on the intake. Is there some other place the water can be leaking form the rear of the engine...? I have just replaced a couple hoses I thought were the initial culprits on the front of the water pump but now have found another leak to the rear.
Another concern that leads me to think the intake is leaking is that I am getting the milky crap in my oil fill cap and overflow bottle... BUT not seeing this on the dipstick or oil.
This 1995 LT1 has 140K miles on it and has had good maintenance and not much abuse. I read something about a tube on the aft section of the heads and wondering if this could be the fix, or should I just bite the hard one and pull the intake.
Please help...
Thanks In Advance!!

There is a steam pipe that runs from one head to the other at the back of the engine. That's the only externally accessible coolant passage at the back of the engine other than the previously mentioned freeze plugs.
As for milky substance on the oil fill cap, this can be caused by the condensation starting to cook off in the oil and condensing on the cooler valve covers (they take longer to heat up than the rest of the engine) and mixing with the film of oil that is splashed up ther. If this is it, running the engine a while longer to let the covers warm up too will show this problem to start to go away.
As for the overflow bottle, I have no idea.
I would think that if you're getting cross contamination with oil and coolant, it'd be visible on either the dipstick or in the radiator.

The steam tube mentioned above is mounted with 2 seals on each "bolt". You may just need to replace the seals (4 total). The steam tubde routes from the back of the heads, along the passanger side of the intake manifold and then connector to the TB via a rubber elbow. This is the same rubber elbow that is re-routed for the TB bypass mod.
