guys w/ le2 package and power brakes

hey guys well i have been having problems w/ my power brakes ever since the new motor (4k miles now) checked all the vacume lines for leaks and none were found, bleeded all the lines properly, have new pads all around. the other night we hooked up a vacume gauge to the intake from the brake booster hose and at idle when warm it was pulling 9 to 10 on the gague pretty steady and when i reved it on a downward rev it went to about 15 then back to 10 or 9, is this a problem that is sensor related or valve related (setting rocker arms) i have a ported lt4 intake on my engine lt1 heads, should i be getting more vacume w/ this cam or what, do i need a vacume pump or canister?

any help would be great

thanks guys.

I have the same issues with my setup. I was thinking of getting a vaccum canister.

10in Hg should be fine for the brakes. Ya can't set in traffic and inch up 'cause ya will run out of vacuum. When ya decelerate the vacuum goes up and if ya got a vacuum can ya should be fine. Ya can't set in traffic and repeatedly hit the brakes though.
I built a Ford truck with a blower and it has 10in Hg and it pulls a 26' offshore race boat all the time and the only time there is a problem is backing down the ramp to launch the thing where he is repeatedly hitting the brakes.

As LR said, Brakes are fine until you need to use them alot repeatedly. You can always upgrade to LS1 front brakes which helps immensely.

Do a search in LT1 tech for my vacuum canister mounting thread if you want to go that route too.

Is there any vacuum canister that you or LR would reccommend? Or are they all about the same?

They are all about the same. Just make sure it has a check valve.
