Thumbs up

I had a 2in. weld on the back of my BMR tubular sfc. To me the bolt is only to help aid in the installation of the sfc by helping to line it up in the front and hold the back up while the welder does his job. No need to go crazy and weld the whole thing to the back, just a 2in. weld down the back of it works fine. Make sure front is welded up good though! Hope this helps you!

Definitly get them welded. I had them weld the back part and also put a bolt through it.

I have the sqare version from BMR which also have a rear bolt. However the installation instructions call for welding both the front and rear. Mine is therefore bolted to the LCA in back and welded on both front and rear. The square version have surfaces specifically designed to weld to the car on both the front and rear portions of the connectors. So get the rear welded as well.

Sorry for my ignorance, but exactly what are they welded to? The chassis?

Yes they are welded to the frame, (MonoBody Chassis).
