Guys with stalls come in please

I need to know what kind of RPMS everyone is at with their set-up. I have a 306 cam, 3200 PI stall, and 3.73's and at 60mph I'm at like 3200 RPM's. I'm not getting any engine or tranny codes and I have a PCMforless tune. Does this sound way too high to anyone else? I'm being told I have a lock up converter, but I really don't think it's locking up. Please share your experiences. Thanks.

Are you seeing 3200 RPMs on the highway at cruising speed or around town while driving?

im in the same boat as you my man. my car isnt going into overdrive. im at 3200 at around 70mph. it should be more like 2200 rpms, its really getting on my nerves. im thinking about going down to a 2400 stall.

That's cruising in OD at about 60 mph. Around town I'm around 2400 RPMs at 35-40mph. My RPMS start high and NEVER go down. I've never heard of people with converters driving around with high RPMs like that. I was always under the impression that you didn't know you even had a converter until you mashed the pedal. Am I missing something here?

if you have a lockup convertor and your computer is locking the convertor correctly, you should not be running more than about 2600rpm on the highway at 70 mph. at 60 you should only be turning about 2400. it sounds like your convertor is not locking up. could be a gliche in your tuning.

Your converter isn't locking.

My vig 3200 locks up very hard. Almost annoyingly hard. So you would know if it was locking or not. Also the rpms sound a bit high. I also have 3.73s. I and I'm thinking I'm at 26-2700 at 60 mph.

I cruise at 60 MPH, in 4th gear, at 2300 RPMs...With 4.10 gears and 26" tall tires. My converter is a 3200 stall ProTorque.

I have a 2400 stall from B&M and mine wont shift untill 3200 into second, 3000 into third, and about 2800 into OD. I am having some other issues like it wanting to die after a few minutes of running like it bogs it way down till it doesnt wanna run and if I kill it and restart it , its fine for a few more minutes. Maybe Im too high due to something wrong but im still kinda high at times

When cruising at 60mph, manually drop it into 3rd and see if the rpms change. It may not be going into overdrive at all, which would be a programming problem.
