Guys running Hooker LTs w/ Borla get inside

Im installing Hooker LTs this weekend. My plan is to run the LTs w/ no cats with my adj.Borla catback. My question is what plate on the Borla are you using. Im thinking the one w/ the smallest hole. Tell me what you think.

i have a set of tpis longtubes on my car with no cat. when i installed the headers i had the wide open plate on mine. it was really loud, which is cool but i changed it to the smallest and it still sounds good.

I also switched from the largest to the smallest holed plate when I had my Borla. The smallest plate seems to be the best for this setup. Enjoy the LTs!

I use to run the smallest, but would whicth to the closed one on long trips or if I got sick of the noise level. My new combo will be in next week with Hooker-long tubes. I dought it will be any louder than with my Mac header with Off-Road y-pipe.

I run a closed plate on mine. Its definitely still really loud at WOT, but sounds "clean" in the midrange. I'm running without a cat by the way.

If you want to sound NASCAR, run without the plate...

I use the smallest hole plate and it ranges from loud to NASCAR at WOT. The idle is wicked...

A good friend of mine has a '96 Ram air, with Hooker LTs and Borla. We both have the smallest hole plate in and his is a lot more quiet than mine. I think its because the Hooker LTs are equal length where as the FLPs are not. Therefore more bends in the Hookers to dampen sound.

There is a fair amount of rasp with the pass side open at all, however most of it goes away when you put the full block off plate in.

I was wondering if the LT's will make much sound difference (loudness) over my current set up of off road y-pipe and Borla?
