Gunk in TB

After taking apart my CAI to clean it, I noticed that I have alot of black gunk inside my throttle body. What would be the best way to get all of that crap out of there? I read about seafoam on the search engine but I'm kinda concerned about fouling plugs or O2's. I just changed my plugs and I don't want to ruin them. Also, I tried to spray some tb cleaner in it a while back and the car wouldn't stay running w/o the elbow on the tb. I used to do this with my 93Z and it worked fine, does this mean I have a problem? Sorry for the long post, just need some help. thanks for any helpful replies!!!!!!!!

Unplug your MAF sensor and the car will run with the elbow off (speed density mode). If you're just looking to clean the TB, remove it and clean it with Brake Cleaner. Be sure to oil the TB rod (where it enters the body) when your done as the blades can hang causing a high idle. Chances are your intake will be gunked up too. Search on the Seafoam posts to determine if Seafoam will mess up your plugs/O2 sensors. I haven't personally tried seafoam.

Its not just in my tb but its all in my intake, i took a long screwdriver to it and man is it dirty with that black gunk!!!! I really don't feel like taking my whole intake off, will seafoam or any other tb spray work? Will it foul out my plugs or o2's.
