So you are suppose to use the guide plats on only #1, 2, 5 and 6??

Notice that the technical notes for those plates on the GM site is for use on a V6. Obviously, that does not apply to the LT1.

Maybe just me, but I'm still looking for a non adjustable guide plate that aligns correctly on all four cylinders on @ head.

If you mean an LT1 head, you should be getting the GM p/n 14011051 (p/n mis-stated as 1401051 at the beginning of this thread).

Actually Shoe, I was serious about that part #, even though I added the big grin. The was an attempt at being cleaver. Guess it backfired.

So i need part #14011051 for the lt1 head? It says for a 60 degree head.

You need pushrod guideplate 14011051. Note that the part number is for only one plate. You will need 8.

Yeah, it also says it's a V6 head, but buy it anyway. It's the right one.
