Ground-control to Major Tom! Come in, Tom!

A buddy of mine has an LT1, and has just bought a set of DMS performance lowering springs. They're the same ones that I have. However, he's got a T/A, and I've got a Camaro. He recently bought some Hooker LTs and is having clearance problems with them. He's busting them up on every little bump in the road. What's causing his problem with the ground clearance? I've got the DMS springs and Hooker LTs and I've encountered NO PROBLEMS whatsoever!

Do T/As have more weight in the rear weighing his car down more, or what's going on? All he has are the DMS springs, as far as suspension mods.

Is anyone else with a Z28 or T/A running this combo? If so, is anyone else having clearance problems with DMS springs and Hooker LTs?

I recommended to him he may want to try a different set of shocks, but I'm not sure. I don't really know too much about messing with suspensions. All I know is that I'm not having any problems with my springs and LTs.

I was thinking about doing the entire suspension on my car with some high performance parts, but for right now I'm going to stick to just the springs. I haven't had any problems, and even just with the springs there's a nice difference in the handling.

I know lots of guys that have both lowering springs and LT's and as long as they take it easy on bumps, they have no problem. Its when they get in a hurry when they start scraping all over the place. I plan on upgrading to LT's from my MAC's as soon as I can but Im not worried about scraping, even on Tallahassee's crappy roads. As far as cars sitting lower than some others, I have a Eibach pro-kit and I havent seen but a few f-bods that sit lower than mine. Shocks have a lot to do with that too.
