Granatelli? or just port the maf?

whats the better deal between the two? is spending almost $300 on a granatelli worth it? or is it better to get a ported one for $100???

i recently got my K&N FIPK and i took it to the track, ran it 7 times and consistantly got the exact same time as before the K&N. i hear freeing up the rest of the intake will help the k&n fipk alot .

im definatly doing the MAF but what do you guys think of a 1le elbow and a airfoil? worth it in my situation???

Neither one is worth anything...I wouldnt spend a penny on either...put your money into better proven HP mods

Just port the MAF yourself. It isnt that difficult. The 1LE elbow doesnt flow any better than the stock elbow. Airfoils aren't worth more than 1-2 hp at most. You don't really need to improve the intake airflow on a stock LT1 beyond just a CAI.

If I were in your situation right now I'd probably go with some 4.10 gears.

As for porting your maf vs. the Granitelli do nether. If down the road you do a cam and or head work and you have to get the PCM tunned all the tunners including Ed Wright and Bryan Herter will tell you that they have a hard time tunning with a ported MAF. And both hate the Granitelli. I didnt look but if you run a A4 tranny a converter and 3.73's will benefit you more than headers and will cost about the same. I did the header deal first and saw a 10 hp gain. I did 3.73's and a 2400 stall and picked up over .5 seconds and this was on a 4400 lb car. If you run the M6 tranny do 3.73's or 4.10's and youwill see more gainthan you will with headers. Good luck.

Personally I didn't see a huge gain from my airfoil. Though it was practically free so it couldn't have hurt anything. I got a Granatelli MAF sensor form ls1speed.com for $150. Suprisingly it was a pretty good improvement. Definitely more noticeable than the combination of my pulleys, CAI, and JET chip. As for headers, I got some shortys and for the money I spent for parts and labor I probably could've gotten somebody to throw a cam in there for me.
