Question Got Vigilante, Stall question

I just bought my new Vigilante Torque Converter from www.ls1speed.com for a great price.

I had originally gone in with the mind set that i was going to go with a 2800 Stall speed converter. I had been debating between 2800, 3000, and 3200. When the box was brought out, it was marked 3200 stall speed.

I guess I saw this as a sign that i should indeed go with the higher stall speed, so i said what the hell, and bought it

My question is, what is the driveability difference between 2800 stall and 3200 stall speed? Did I make the right choice? I have Drag Radials going on the car at the end of the week. My car is not a daily driver, but it's not a full out track car either. Anyone with experience with different stall speeds, i would appreciate your insight. thanx all

From what I hear Vigilante stalls have excellent street drivability. I have a 3,600 stall in my car and it's daily driver friendly. So I think you'll be fine.

I have a 2800 vigilante that I've had for over a year with no problems and it's hardly noticeable.
The only thing to consider with a OBDI car is the shifting problem some guys have with a stall over I think 3000. I don't know much about it but if it happens to you it seems several people have had a lot of problems with it.

I have a much harder time hooking my car with 3.23's and the vigilante 2800 than when I had 4.10's and the stock stall.
the stall also caused my rwhp to go down and my mph.

I went with a 2800 but couldn't tell a lot of difference from a stock converter--it was still pretty tight. I am switching to a 3500 this weekend. A friend of mine has a 3500 stall in his car and I was surprised at how well it drove on the street. Keep the 3200 is my .02 worth.

3200 Vig. is a badass unit!!
But if you end up with the shift problem, it's definately a PITA!
But I figured it out with Tunercat. So If I can do it anyone can. As I am computerly challenged
Go with the 3200!!

Thanx everyone for the quick replies, it's greatly appreciated.

For a full list of my mods, check out the page in my sig. Basically, I have a Hot Cam kit, full exhaust and intake, programming, a few suspension mods, 3.42s and a bunch of other basic bolt ons.

I'm still resolving the issues regarding my ****ty track times with my current mods (see sig) hopefully the vigi 3200 and DRs will help me take that time waaaaay down

I'm one step ahead of u all with the shifting problems. usually people run into shifting problems with stalls over 3500. I already talked with Bryan from PCMforless and he is going to send me an updated PCM to handle the new Torque Converter. I will let u know new track times in 2 weeks with the stall and DRs. thanx again for the replies.

Just an FYI, Bryan was the first guy that tried to fix my shift problem with no luck. But he is a great guy to deal with, and does good programming.

Bryan told me he should be able to adjust for the stall speed and I shouldn't have any problems.
