GOt some heads flowed, what do you think?

I got a set of ported stock LT1 heads flowed. WHat do you think? They might be going on my n'a 396, do you think they will support the kind of power I want to make? I want 450 to the wheels, but that might be pushing it. So if my cam is somewhere between 550, and 575 lift they should flow prettty decent correct? THanks for the input.

anything over 550 and the heads are falling off quick. They look pretty good in the mid lift area which is where you really need it with some decent peak numbers. Were they flowed with extensions? 10" or 28"? Valve size and type?

I'm not an expert on this subject but from what I do know those numbers look pretty good just don't go past 550 after that you're dropping off pretty fast.

The valves are 2.0, 1.55's. ANd thye are manly race flow valves. No I did not port these myself. The heads were done by Don Burling ton here in town. I did see the numbers on the little screen pop up to 264 quite a tew times.

I do not know what kind of extensions he used, but I did watch him do it. I dont know what the extension part it.

Does anyone think with the right cam I can make my goal?

It was on a super flow bench if that means anything.

Just because they drop off after 550 doesn't mean not to go that high. If you go that high the valves will spend more time at the mid lifts too, so it will still be beneficial. Nice mid numbers, but numbers don't show all. They look good though, I'm jealous with my stock heads over here!

I dont think you will make 450rwhp with those heads. Im hoping for that maybe a little more and my heads flow 298 at .600

They don't look bad, but the midlift numbers are maybe a little weak - relative to what you can get out of them anyway. I'd think he would want to spend the time to keep them from getting THAT turbulent however. That wont make near 450rwhp in all likelyhood, sorry.

What do you mean by the turbulance part? I hope they can make decent numbers because I need heads quick. I know its not the time to just throw something toghter, but I dont want to run stock heads, and these are in town from a local guy. I can always get something else down the road.
