Got a quote on header install and camswap
I got a quote today to do a header swap with the ory and cutout plus a camswap and valve spring change for 1100 this is for labor only . I will supply them with gaskets and all parts needed. Do you think this is a fair price they do alot of impala ss lt1 motors so they know what they are doing. What do you guys think. If it wasnt so cold i would do it myself but my workspace is limited to the driveway.
Cause my 69nova with a 434 sbc pumpgas car is in the garage until the spring.

What part of the country are you from? Labor prices vary a lot from one area to another.

I am from NY and the guy told me that it wouldnt cost know more than 1100 cause he said to do headers is 400 - 500 and cam swap ranges 400 to 600 on these cars he defently knows lt1 cause he did work on my freinds 383 lt1 ss impala and did it right.
Where in NY? Which place?
That's about right on the low end, great price. I charged $1600 for the same plus programming for the mods, so it's about same as I charge. The plus would be it's an experienced LT1 shop(that makes a different).
