i just installed new spark plugs and wires on my 95 trans-am w/LT1 and it was running fine and sounding good before i changed them but,it has 92,000 miles so i figured it be a good idea to change but, now i got sparks comming out of all my sparkplugs, and wiring and making a light ticking sound ,but since i pulled the cat and y- pipes out to change plugs i dont know if the noise can be an exaust leak or what. so if anyone can tell me what it could be or if anyone had this same problem i would really appreciate any help. i have already checked for good contact on bothr ends to block and to opti ,and also put wire protectors on all and also tried changing one wire with an old wire to see if maybe the wire is bad but it does the same i have no idea what else it could be.so any help or suggestions would be appreiciated

 

when you say you pulled the cat and pipes what all did you take off? y-pipe ? manifolds? Make sure none of the wires are touching and this sounds stupid but make sure that all the boots of the plug wire are snapped onto the opti and the spark plugs, I have done it so dont feel bad if you did. why would you take of the y-pipe and the cat to change the plugs and wires?
