Got my 95 Red Z28 today

Well i went and got my first car today. It's a red z28 M6, it has 51 thousand miles on it and we got it for 6,300 from my dads friend. It's my first time drivin a stick so i'm still getting use to it. I've only stalled it once going in reverse, but have stalled it quite a few on some hills and stuff. I'm just curious how long it took everyone else to get use to a stick for the first time. This thing will get up and go. Anyways i just wanted to tell everyone i got a z28.

Congrats man and welcome to the board!! It wont take you long sice it has the stock clutch (I'm assuming). Have you had a stick shift car before or are you just learning ? If so, whatever you do do not rev. high and dump the cluth lol.

Ya it's my first stick and im pretty sure it's stock clutch all it has done is a flowmaster muffler, ya a few times i stalled because i didnt give it enough gas and my dad is like give it more than that so i did next time and revved it up high but i knew better than to dump the clutch with it revved up that high.

Congrats on the new ride, now the even more fun stuff like buying mods for it, When I bought mine I did the free mods, SLP cold air intake, and some other stuff just for cause.

Re: Got my 95 Red Z28 today

Well if you slip the cluth enough and finally get it to start slipping (if you do, hopefully you'll learn quick). Just for future reference, when you jump on the board and start asking what clutch to run just go ahead and go with a SPEC 3 because of your mods. SPEC 4 is going to be way to much for a beginning learner and you run a risk of granading the stock 10 bolt. Spec 3 will be all you need, commit that to memory and you'll be straight. Don't let ANYONE try to talk you into the Mcloud street twin!! Again, congrats on the car man.

Ahh thank god im not the only one to buy multiply 95 Trans Am's. Its my life goal to own at least 5 95 Trans Ams. I mean I love the fact they are kinda missfits in the PCM department. OBD1 but you gotta love that sweet OBD2 connector. None the less awesome rides.

sweet deal man
i actually just got mine, same everything pretty much (even miles) and i got it for 6800
sounds like you got a great deal
yea, i've only had mine for 3 months or so but you'll get used to stick soon enough
just remember to try to keep perfecting driving with a stick, don't be satisfied with how good you get with it
