Good valve springs for 1.6 and CC305?

Im getting a set of magnum 1.6 self aligning RR and a CC305 im curious as to what valve springs would work best with this? Would the LT4 Springs work ok? And what else should i change while doing this? This will be run on my 95 TA. Thanks for any information.

I used the EX-612 springs from www.cmotorsports.com and they worked great.

Call Thunder Racing for the Isky spring they recommend for your application.

I know mine are Crane double springs, but I couldn't get an exact part # from my machinist. They're supposed to be good to .600" lift. I also know my COMP #986 springs wouldn't work.

Would the LT4 hot cam springs work with this?

Do not use the LT4 springs. There are a few springs out there that will work, but only a couple that do not require machining of the spring seat within the head for an increased diameter. The Isky springs I referred to are the same as, or close to the stock diameter (1.240" I believe).

I ran the Crane 10308 dual coil valve springs for 2 years w/out any problem on my car with the CC305. The spring kit comes with locks, retainers, and shims. They are good to .600" lift and don't require any machining of the heads.

I bought the Isky 235-D springs for a Crane 210/224 cam
install. Have not put them in but I would think on a stock
head they would be fine with the CC305. Max lift with them
installed at 1.75 is .550".

I have since decided on a new plan to try the Comp
beehive springs. They are for the LSx motors but there
is a conversion retainer and lock that allows you to use
them with stock LTx heads. Part numbers are:

26915 or 26918 (depending on the pressure you want)
787-16 retainers
648-16 locks

The best prices I have seen are $139, $48 and $20
respectively. The Isky's are only about $85.

If the beehive springs sound interesting to you then
