good place to get a shortblock

So i blew my motor a while back and was planning on having a guy rebuild it (made a good offer) but i found out that a lt1 he rebuilt a few weeks ago has already died. decided to stay away form that guy, so now i think i'll buy a shortblock and install it myself. (i have access to a full garage and lift, and will have help). so now i need to know where to get a good shortblock for a decent price. mostly interested in a 350, but might consider a 383 if the price is right. will have 30lb injectors, le1 heads. i was also looking for some opinions on a good streetable cam. i had the le1 cam when the motor blew, and i think it was too much for the kind of use i'll get out of the car. thanks in advance.
