Good oil for storage
Good oil for storage
I'm about to do the last oil change on my car before I store it. Would it be better to fill it with a heavier oil? I'm planning on starting the car once a week. What do you guys recommend. thanks,

Definitely do not start the engine, unless you're going to be driving the car at least 20 miles. Idling an engine won't get the oil hot enough to burn off the moisture which begins to accumulate during the initial engine warm up.
Just stick with whatever oil you plan on running next season, change it now but then you don't need to change it in the spring, just continue running it to your normal mileage interval. That oil will still be good in the spring, especially if you don't start the engine.
