good mild cam and best place to buy?

alright getting ready to do some internals, im just lookin for a mild cam really, something that can be easily into the 350whp range without much effort. had porting will be done as well.. i was lookin into the HC kit and was interested in buying cuz it came with the rr and other misc stuff, but i know their tough to get to that power without all necessary bolt ons. soooo what size cam do you guys recommend will give me some numbers like im pursuing?? also where might be the best place to buy it??

thanks in advance

not sure for lt1, but the equiv. to a thunder racing, 224/224-112 or 114 is a greta cam, drive i daily (ls1) and very easy to handle

I have the LPE211/219. Drives like stock bit with more hp/tq and the power band is about 2-300 rpms longer than stock. Has a little tiny lope. Just enough to tell there is a cam in there, with idle at 800.

CC503 which is a xe 224/230 on 112 or 114lsa. The 114 would be tamer and would drive a little better. But also would leave 5hp on the table so its one of the decisions you would have to make.

The 503 is really common, lots of guys have put down 340-360rwhp depending on supporting mods. I would say its a pretty safe bet.

CC503

I have a custom grind. But I am running similar duration with a WAY tigheter LSA = more overlap = more power, at the cost of a narrower powerband. Also is significantly more lift than a CC503. But the point I am making here, is I gained maybe 10+ horsepower over a CC503, at the cost of losing some driveability ... It does have some cam surge, and it does get irritating to drive slow in parking lots. If I did it over, I would either go with a CC503 and have no issues, or go with a CC306 and sound like a top fuel car ...

www.advancedinduction.com they have several cam kits for stock longblock motors, either way custom is really the only way to go if you want the most for your money.
