Good deal or what?

I just got one of these, i thought it was pretty nice, similar to SLP's design but half the price..good deal or not?

they also have this one for 49.99 but i wanted the one that goes all the way down...was the extra money worth it?

I haven't seen these before. The 2 peice one puts the air filter under the fender where the colder air is. I've been really happy with my Moroso CAI, but that one looks good if the filter is any good. You might want to Email the seller and ask what filter comes with it.

i did he says it's not a K&N but it is a washable one that he say's requires the K&N recharge kit to be cleaned. has to be atleast half decent..from the pic it looks pretty much like a K&N though..go figure..i just really liked the straight through design...thanx Tony

Does not look like a bad deal at all. Would be interesting to know what manufacture makes the air filter. Metal pipe may heat the intake air a bit more than plastic, but not a big deal.

i had already thought about that, but it cant be that much of a difference, i mean it is pretty much as far as you can get away from the engine and still be under the hood right? My real concern is my vortech intake elbow...that thing does seem to get pretty hot...anything i can do to lower heat absorption though? thank Tony

I'd ditch that Vortec heatsink special for a GM unit. I wouldn't worry too much about the CAI. Its not gonna do any worse than SLP's version, and thats proven itself to make similar power to Moroso, K&N, etc.
