Good cam for my setup?
Good cam for my setup?
I really like a lopey cam, but I'd like drivability to stay decent. I've looked into the CC306 and the GM847. I don't want to have to spin high rpms to get my power though. Something around 2500-5800 r's or so. I have a 3000rpm vig. and 3.42's and I want the power to come in right about where the stall does, then keep the stock rev limit and have the cam top off right around where that is. Can you recommend any good ideas. I am not very experienced with cam's so you'll have to treat me like a dummy. Also any good examples of your setup and what kind of #'s you were running. Thanks.
You said to treat you like a dummy, so I'm going to suggest the link in my sig

Yeah having been around the board awhile I am well aware of the search function. I always make it a point to try that before asking a question. I know it's been asked millions of times(and I found millions of answers) but I didn't really find what I was looking for. It's amazing unless someone else asks the same question I did word for word, it's hard to find an answer to it, even if it has been answered somewhere. Sometimes I stumble across them, sometimes I don't. Thanks for the other link though, very informative.
